Loud-mouthed liberal feminist. Anarchist knitter. Tequila-drinking artsy-smartsy fat chick. Bluesy folk-rock singer-songwriter. Rebel with too many causes. Quirky eclectic pagan poet. Paradoxical intuitive smartass. Sarcastic brainiac insomniac. You know, for starters.

I feel like such the rock star...

Who's a happy girl?

Yeah, so Paris Hilton probably *is* a happy girl, but today, I am too!!

One of my songs got picked as a Track of the Day on Garageband.com. ((insert happy dance here)) Woo hoo!!!
Walking that fine line between arrogance and humility is really tough. I am, however, truly honored that there are people who think I don't suck. It would be nice if people who actually had a stake in my success might wake up and smell the future success and possibly consider setting aside ego in favor of everybody winning...but there I go being vague again.

The point is, I suppose, that this is just another reminder that this is who I am, this is what I do. I pen confessional folk-pop and sing it well. I play sucky minimalist rhythm guitar because I am a singer and the words and the story and how they're delivered mean way more to me than chord progressions ever will.
And now I'm going to put my soapbox away and get crackin' on the Next Big Thing.
